Yes... Even though the accident wasn't his fault, he could have and should have avoided it. Lewis goes nowhere near Max on purpose. Everyone knew Max had nothing to lose AND he's a hot head.... Lewis was laughing about Vettel and Max being so close, and he was right.
^^^^^^^ this is what has me buggered,he has been less than productive all season. Why doesn't pay him out,pay Dan out of RB and stick him in his seat. At least Vettel (and I'm with Moretts on him),has been giving it a go,until the reliability issue rears it's head.
It's because Vettel does not see him as a threat and wants him there. There was already talk about Vettel having a no Alonso clause in his contract, preventing his return. I am sure he also has a No Dan and No Lewis clause as well. lol
And replace him with who ? When was the last time Ferrari had 2 number ones, or drivers of equal calibre.
Marchionne was getting fed up with him earlier in the year, he was warned to lift his game. However once Vettel re-signed he was instrumental in having Kimi signed again for next year.
All conjecture and rumour, but to answer your question, massa and Kimi. At least in the MS years, the number 2 driver could bring in good points.
Good discussion, at least it's civil What isn't conjecture was Marchionne's warning for Kimi to lift his game. So what changed from July from Kimi being warned to lift his game, to be signed up for another year ? https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-motor-f1-austria-ferrari-marchionne/marchionne-sends-laggard-raikkonen-a-warning-idUKKBN19U0FT 1. Ferrari waiting for Dan (and possibly Max depending on who you believe) for 2019 signings ? 2. Appeasing Vettel who is comfortable having him as a number 2. ?
Going into Singapore there was only 3 points in the championship. So, basically nothing. In Singapore Kimi gets an amazing start and is occupying a part of the track no one expected and certainly Seb could not have seen him there. Seb squeezes Max heading towards the first corner (as you see drivers do in every single start of the season) but because of where Kimi was Max had nowhere to go and they all come together. And you want to blame Vettel? The stewards didn't. Then in Malaysia a mechanical failure by the team has him starting right at the back. He drives an amazing race and finishes 4th. This weekend another mechanical failure means he doesn't even finish one lap. So in the space of those three races we've gone from basically level to where we are now, and it's all his fault? You can't just excuse a series of costly ****-ups by the team as "Oh well. These things happen." And then refuse to accept a mistake or two by the human component.
F*** man....can you read?? I blame Vettel ONLY for not being careful and avoiding any situations like this....Just as Lewis did! Remember Lewis on the radio? "I'm not going to go near him he's too dangerous!" Lewis smarter than Vettel? It seems so! So I'll repeat for the 3rd time, I don't blame Vettel for the crash, but I do blame him for not being smart enough to avoid it. and baku.....100% his stupid fault for points he lost there. So, I'll ask again, what would the points gap be if Vettel HADN'T screwed up this year?
I voted Ferrari. I voted that because as a team they have [almost] failed to win the WDC and Constructors (well they failed that way back). It's a whole team effort and the reliability currently is not so good. I read something on here whereby they have been trying something new (it was an Italian link) so that might explain some of it. Unless Mercedes (Hamilton mainly) have a couple of none scoring races and Ferrari don't then it is all over. I hope I'm wrong but this season has finished. Bottas may take second place as he's only 13 points behind Vettel but otherwise Hamilton has as good as won. I will listen to the results of any qualifying but beyond that I'm done for this year. It does give me more time at weekends to do other stuff Absolutely 100%. The FIA may not have held him account for it but he drove his car into Kimi because Kimi had a fast start. It matters little whether he saw him (I think he did anyway) he drove the car into Kimi. Seb also drove his car into the side of Hamilton. He may have misjudged his objection but he did that.

Ferrari did a great job winning the WDC and WCC..... for Hamilton and Mercedes "When we win its a team win. When we lose its a team loss" /END
