With the white coats and hairnets, they look like they are in a sausage factory. No offense intended.
... drivers don't go to Ferrari, to win Grand Prix. They go to Ferrari, to be mollycoddled, to be pampered, and to get paid, handsomely. Whether or not he ever wins, again, Sebastian Vettel most certainly will be - asj.
Our new drivers look handsome in Red. Both Mr. Vettel and Guitierrez seem very happy at the factory. Our team looking happy is a good start. Let's hope we provide a podium/race winner so we can have something to celebrate this season.
I spent a few hours with one of the Scuderia's Chief Designers today (for his own sake I won't namedrop). To my somewhat surprise, he couldn't speakly highly enough of Vettel. He told me the test with the F2012 was a great day for the team. Vettel is apparentely much more approachable to work with both in- and outside of the driver's seat [than Alonso]. Listening to how he went into Vettel's relationship with the Scuderia so far, he has certainly changed my view on Vettel as a driver - to the better.
That would be great, hope Vettel brings the wins along, somebody recently commented at Ferrari that he is a Carbon Copy of MS.
It's funny reading these every time a driver joins a team because they are always almost exactly the same. New driver is more approachable than the old, super friendly, so OMG awesome. Give it a couple of years and let's see if the same is said.
Yes I'm sure with the amount of years my chum has in the Scuderia he's never seen a driver come and go before. Also, perhaps because it's true? Alonso had lost his motivation, didn't care for developing the car etc. Vettel's mindset is certainly fresher than his predecessor's.
I never said it wasn't true, and I'm not disagreeing with you (it was clear that Alonso was done at Ferrari). I just recall reading much of the same after Alonso was signed to Ferrari. People stating how great he was when he visited and that everyone was amazed he had learned Italian so he could more easily talk to the team. These types of things just seem common when a fresh face comes into a team. Any team.
Well I have a few friends there too and everyone is very excited about the new car and about having Vettel there to drive it. Of course we'll know more after testing here in the next few weeks and of course the season opener but I have agree that the boys in Maranello are very excited, happy and enjoying life at this time.
True, true. I am sure it is the same for Fred over at Mclaren. You have to admit there has always been something more youthful and exciting about young Vettel all along in comparison to some of the old guard. Maybe it is all these new kids. They seem to bring more energy and zest to everything.
+1000'0, it was clear even by stefano's words that Alonso was not a sweet pie in the team...no shummy for sure, nor even as liked as Massa was....teh team will never fully work iof the driver is not loved by the team...
I love it, what a PERFECT Nickname for "The Team" - "The Sausage Factory". Sounds almost like English Cockney if Italian had such an Equivalent! Oh off subject, no one can tell or see the joy in my heart and soul that Vettel didn't win a single event; just three 3rds. Oh have the mighty have fallen. Thanks FIA. When I was younger I hated how the FIA would change the rules so much from season to season back in the early 90's, when I first started watching F1 like an Initiate - for I am grateful I was lucky enough to watch some of the best F1 racing with Senna and Mansell. /End going off topic
