I like Ricci, but if we bring him, than it will be a straight fight between him and Seb...I love Kimi but i don't remenber teh last time he did an overtaking!

He won’t, ferrari have never wanted him, ever. I won’t tell you what Luca diMontezemolo said about him, but it wasn’t complimentary, and it was clear the team comes before inflated egos. Remember, even Michael could only push so far, and he was the true and never to be usurped GOAT

I would like to see Ricci at Ferrari next year. However, Kimi is having a great year...so far. He is a great #2 to Vettel, and the team knows that. The question is, how much more can he tolerate? He is a WDC, and in quite a few races, seemed to be faster than Vettel. He follows team orders, and drops back as a road block for Seb. I think the ball is in Kimi's court, and one day he will say, "I'm out of here."

I can't see Ricciardo going for only a one year contract with Ferrari with Vettel there. I think he would want a multi-year contract or stay with RB. If Max keeps screwing up he can prove to be the number one driver again.

The look on Horners face on Sunday said the Max is on borrowed time with him, many more **** ups and they will surely have to reconsider whether the ‘Great potential and talent’ is worth more than solid points finishes and podiums offered by drivers with slightly less flash but a bit more sense

Ricciardo is upset with RB because he thinks he's playing second fiddle to Max.

Leclerc will be in a Ferrari in 2 years -- either next year or the year after. Someone has to go so whoever has the short contract is the guy on the bubble.

By "he" I can only assume you're talking about Christian Horner...

Ricciardo is the only part of that organization i like...used to be Webber. I hope DR escapes to a better situation.

Leclerc is too young and has yet to prove himself. When you join Ferrari you have way more pressure to perform. Let him make those mistakes now in Sauber for a few years then reassess the situation in 2020.

Kyvat who recently joined Ferrari would have a better chance at the seat because he would be getting a "2nd chance" so he would play no2 perfectly.

I want Ricci in Ferrari but to replace Vettel. If Vettel can't win the title this year surely they will want to replace him soon.

    Or just keep Kimi :)

If he doesn't win the title this year, I think it will rather be Vettel himself who will get frustrated (Alonso-style) and leave the Scuderia.

If Kimi continues to drive as he has this season I would keep him. Certainly Ferrari has Leclerc tied-up contractually. I look forward to Kimi's post driving career doing TV color commentary.

Perez would be a solid driver, I agree. On the other hand, I don't know that for 2019 he would bring anything better than former champion Kimi other than being younger, so maybe Ferrari sticks with Kimi.

Somebody needs to ask Seb what he thinks. He may not get to choose, but I'll bet he has a veto. Especially where Ric is concerned.

Disagree. If Kimi were a great number 2 he'd be coming in second when Seb won, and come in first when Seb didn't. The only way Kimi gets on the podium is when attrition or luck puts him there

According to your template, the best number tw0 was Prost in 1988 ;). Don’t know if Mclaren would agree with your analogy. ;)
