First time since Senna in 1989 that a driver have lead three consecutive races from start to finish. 150th Renault win as well.
If he is not the real deal yet, then I hope he will be driving at Ferrari once he does become the real deal
The really good ones, the super talents are always fast straight out of the box. That was true when Senna wrestled the Toleman around Monaco in 84 (along with Beloff in the Tyrrell) challenging Prost for the win, that was true when Schumacher put the Jordan 7th on the Spa grid in his first GP and that was true when Vettel won Monza in a "Minardi".
If vettel wins next week he'll be on equal terms with Jacky Stewart; 27 wins from 99 races. Mighty impressive.
As probably everybody on here knows I'm not a MS fan. However I'm a huge Vettel fan. But for the life of me I don't want to see Vettel smash MS' records: It'd be mindblowingly boring to see him go for 8 titles. I was happy when MS finally surpassed Fangio's title because it was history in the making and I was hoping that now the Varsha's of this world would stop constantly making the remark, that MS still hasn't passed the great Fangio's record. Well guess what: Once he did, the Varsha's of this world constantly reminded us on how many titles MS has. Just as annoying. Nothing is more boring (and bad for the sport) than predictability. I love both contenders, Alonso and Vettel and I'm fine with either of them winning the title. Just as long as there is a change afterwards. A 4th consecutive title for Vettel would really, really suck.
So much hate in a thread that doesn't even include the names of your presidential candidates @Spoilers: The thread was opened IIRC before today's race, so it didn't refer to what happened at the Indian GP... however, it may be wise anyway to change it...? @Topic: Vettel today surpassed Lauda's number of victories and Senna's number of longest consecutive laps in the lead from 1989.
