I know its incredible, especially when you consider the weight of the car, which ironically is the part most critics take a swipe at, just imagine if it was as light as the critics demanded!!! I personally think love it or hate it you cant help but admire it.
I'm really curious how it will do vs lighter cars like Enzo etc on some well known tracks. Then the weight will be an issue, even with it's superior power and traction.
"top speed was 253 MPH @ VW's Ehra Lessien track.Veyron will hit 124 MPH in 7.3 secs and 186 MPH in 16.7 secs- the latter a staggering 9.4 secs quicker than that achieved by a factory prepared Enzo at the Nardo in 2004 "
HOOOOOLY KRRRRRRAAAAAAAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (don't like the looks though. It doesn't look as fast as it obviously is.)
Well any day / week now, and dont forget even the mclaren f1 only sold around 60 or so road versions. so 41 aint all that bad in relative terms.
that's good enough to outsell the total production run of Pagani Zonda so far... and Veyron will outsold the 100 mark of Mc Laren F1 also. who will be KING ?
Somebody in the Mid-East got one didn't they? I've seen posts about it on various forums, I'll pull it up when I get a minute.
My first impression when I saw one (both parked and driving) was that it looked smaller than the the two ton-plus image I had conjured up in my mind. At least your getting an OK deal by the pound price-wise, I guess. If 600 Kilo F1 cars are having trouble with tire construction at 200 mph, what's this thing going to do to tires if you really drive it hard? I saw a video of a Mclaren F1 being lapped in England on an oval and hitting just 200mph max with an average under 190 mph. It came in with a rear tire starting to shred.
Remember, what you saw were racing tires that have been stripped down of almost all weight and only have to last about an hour and a half. They're going to put street tires on this thing.
