    A Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano (without plates) were caught by police racing on the M27.

    They reaches speeds in excess of 130mph, dodging in and out of traffic, inclduing racing through a roadworks zone, which had a speed limit of 50mph.

    Police caught up with the Bugatti Veyron in a BMW diesel Tourer, which was doing around 140mph.

    The Veyron driver just got 3 points and a £60 fine. Not bad really considering!

    I sometimes wonder how the Police and the justice system quantify their decisions.
    A Bugatti and a Ferrari, both doing at least double the limit and through roadworks and being chased by the Police and all they could come up with was a £60 fine and an official speed of 97mph...stinks of a small pay off to me..
    Compare that to someone who done 127 for a short burst of about 10 secs in a 60 limit on a straight and empty road and got 18 month ban and a 2K fine and an extended re-test at the end of it...
    Don't get me wrong, i don't condone speeding in any circumstance, but christ, talk about unbalanced
