Is this the Sultan of Michigans car?

 

I didn't see a price in the ad, where did you get the price, did you call?

 

I think so based on the description, which says that it was owned by a collector with many of the same cars as "The Sultan of Michigan".

It looks like I was wrong. It is not his car, as his car has a brown interior and this one has a grey interior.

 

There's an actual Sultan of Michigan? Is he friends with the King of Nebraska?

Its just what people call him because he has such an amazing car collection.

It is a nickname given to a car collector in Michigan. He has around 100 cars, so he is sort of like the Sultan of Brunai in that he has a ridiculous amount of cars.

Delivery miles?

 

My guess is that the owner is Russell Cole. He lives in suburban Chicago and at the Ferraris on Oak Street event the other year he had his Enzo and F50 towed on a flatbed to the event (even though the weather was about 83 degrees and clear). He also has several cars for sale through DuPont registry...notably the S7 that was referenced on Sheehan's site (http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=417978) and his LP640 roadster (http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchDetails.aspx?itemid=417977). Note the mileage on those two cars. Seems like this guys is buying these brand new cars looking to make some money.... you'd think a Miura SV or some 250GT variant might be a better investment, but what do I know.... I don't own anything close to that value.

Edit: Plus if you check out the pics on DuPont a clip of a rear of an Enzo.... so yeah, I think this Veyron's owner is the same guy.

If he has a Veyron I'm not aware of it. Like you said "but what do I know....? "

Anyone know if he still has the Carrera GT?

I'll have to give him a call and find out what's going on. It's been awhile since I've talked to him.

I have seen the car in person and it is not in Michigan. The Bugatti, as with everything else in the collection, is in perfect shape, and much cleaner than when delivered new.

a member here knows the 'Sultan' very well. He posted pictures of it when it was delivered. I'm sure he will chime in soon.

 

The guy in Michigan owns a dark red S7 so not sure if this is his too...
