vibrating gear shift 355

is this a manual or f1 system? and can you give any further details? thanks

 

If you do a search using "355 gear lever vibration" it will show the thread I started with a similar question. With the help from No Doubt, 355ferrari, Terry and Gothspeed the subject was well aired and I was able to make the shift seem like new (to me, at least). Note that I tackled the problem in reverse order! As was pointed out in the middle of the thread, the first thing to do is to look at the adjustment of the plate held by three set screws. If this works then you will not have to take the gear lever mechanism (immediately below the lever) apart. Hope that this helps (as it did me)
