Indian and Slingshot are big sellers for them and Victory is not. I'm not surprised in the slightest.

I have Indians and never got into the Victory bikes. No real heritage.

I wonder what they will do with the electric bike Victory TT, aka Brammo.

I saw one of those at work a few months ago. In my opinion, the HD Livewire will zap it. ;)

Feel bad about any potential lay-offs. Good riddance to the product. I still feel a motorcycle company should be successful from engineering and racing, not a so called lifestyle. I never liked leather vests....those suited a dude that was in the Village People;)

They just looked to Buck Rodgers for my taste.

Plain or ugly doesn't do it in my book. Victory looked too much like a Japanese knockoff of a Harley.

I think TF is right. I wanted to like the bikes but it was the coolness and simplicity of the old styling that I really wanted. I never quite felt it in the new offerings.

I am really surprised they lasted this long. I always thought of them as anime versions of a Harley Davidson.
The vast majority of those who want a V twin will always buy Harleys, period. They sell (perceived) lifestyle and camaraderie. Victory, and Indian to a lesser degree because of a storied name, just don't and never will have that on offer.
Those wanting something more modern(which Victory tried to be) and civil aren't buying V twin dinosaurs.

Polaris is very secretive but latest figures I could find was Victory and Indian combined was around 20,000 in 2015.

    Harley was 266,000

I am not sure that rates as killing it. If they were killing it they'd be standing on a roof top telling the world.

The Japanese were doing better knockoffs.
