Todays episode of TopGear Clarkson tests the 599 and the Stig takes it around the track I uploaded this for the ones that dont get TopGear. http://www.coresworld.net/Ferrari/ short of mb then get this low res flv player version 35mb~ Else enjoy direct rip goodness http://www.coresworld.net/Ferrari/TG_599_pt1.avi 195mb~ Clarkson test. http://www.coresworld.net/Ferrari/TG_599_pt2.avi 40mb~ Stig lap time.
Thanks for the vid! Can you believe it's slower than the SLR? What are the dimensions of the video? My internet's too slow to complete the download...
I'm not sure what you mean... part 1 is 195mb file and part 2 is 40mb file. The speed of your internet shouldnt effect you getting the file... if it's timing out, I suggest getting a download manager that lets you resume files.
Thanks....I felt similarly that Clarkson's message, although respectful of the technology was of disapproval - which was surprising to me...
I didn't say it right.. I'm just using dial-up internet so the file would take very long to download even using a download manager
Check out this clip on YouTube. I saw it there. Except for the track-time, which are not included in the YouTube vid's.. Search "top gear 599".
exactly he said what i am saying. There is some beauty problem on 599, you dont feel you are on a supercar from my side two days ago i was on bagdat street (somewhere like fifth avenue in here) and i have 430 spyder and there was a 55+ guy with 599. Heven felt that i was more special then him in there. No matter what you guys saying a 599 can never look , take more attention or look more quality more valueable then 430 in the eyes of regular people. Unfortunately they made a unbeliavable technical bla bla car but it is ugly
Thanks, that is very cool. The message/conclusion is what another thread has been trying to say regarding the modern/vintage comparison. Malcolm
Yes, but it beat the 575M which it replaces by 14 full seconds... must've been a wet track for the 575 though, I cannot believe it could be THAT much slower. And the difference between the McMerc is only 0.3 seconds, so it could be due to tires and many other factors that affect the times.
I can't see a time for the 575? the 575 HGTC did a shade under 1.27 so 5.5 secs slower than the 599 A time of around 1.35 would put the 575M about the same as a Ford Focus ST or Volvo S60R, which I can't beleive unless as you say it was wet for the Ferrari whilst dry for the others
Thanks, great vids. Was it coincidence that when he was in the dark room with the different F-Cars that the F355 was directly behind him? I sure don't think so. I believe he made sure it was placed there. He loves that car.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/topgear/show/powerlaps.shtml I got my time for the 575M from that list, which has the 575M with a slower time than the Volvo S60R.. it must be a mistake or the track has been flooded with water?
that "secret launch" when it said that the transmission had failure wouldn't it hurt the clutch or transmission in someway?
