    ...zzzzzzzzz....

Wait until Dale sees this video. He will rip on the driver for letting the nose lift during each shift. Note to Dale: I'm getting stiffer front shocks because it's too hard to keep the nose level :)

Count the gears, and listen to the engine note -- you'll note he is going all of 180. It just doesn't LOOK that fast, because everything is very controlled and orderly. ("alles im ordnung," as the expression goes in German.)

Looks like 186 kph (~116 mph) rather than 186 mph. In the olden days in the late 1980s, my cruise speed in light traffic on the autobahn was 205-210 kph in a 1987 Corvette Z51. Some great drives from Mauer near Heldelberg to Oberammergau in Bavaria on Sundays, when truck traffic was banned on the autobahns. Intended to pick up a Ferrari while there, but the exchange rate was 1.56 DM/$, so no way. Was over 3:1 just before we arrived.

It's hard to gauge the speed, given it's the autobahn, and the other cars are probably doing 85-120.

I have also driven 300km on the German autobahn and I agree that the video does not appear to be 186 mph. As someone just posted, the other cars are doing around 80 mph, so if the video driver was going 186, then it would be the same as driving towards a stationary object at 100 mph when you come up to a car from the rear. That is not what the video looks like. I was driving a 456 at the time and did not maintain the speed for long because it was frightening to come up on cars so quickly plus the danger of them changing lanes without them having any idea that you are there, because 5 seconds earlier there was no one in their rear view mirror.
