    I got the opportunity to spend a generous amount of time with the 8C Product Manager in Frankfurt who shared an overview of the car. Very, very impressive! The complete carbon fiber body, F430 based 4.7L motor, sequential F1 gearbox plus unique styling and limited distribution all net out to a few, extremely lucky owners; 85 in the US to be exact!

    Anybody here one of those lucky 85?

    There are a few on here. I hope to be one of them, we'll just wait and see what happens. I heard deliveries in Europe will be starting very soon.

    I hope to get one as well but I have the impression that it is not likely...

    Napolis will definitely get one - probably the first in North America.

    But the other 84 will have to have a similar "in" with Alfa Romeo corporate to get even a chance. There are probably 1000-2000 people who would want to be one of the 84 and unless you are a personal friend or have spent significant money with Alfa in the past you can forget it...

    I have been on the waiting since it was announced - probably one of the first to put my name in but Alfa is not giving out slot numbers and will not communicate any status even though the list was supposed to be final months ago...

    One can dream... and I hope mine comes true!

    He seemed very interested in it at its debut in Paris '06 - I heard that's also when he put an order down.

    Anyone know if the 8C will be displayed at any US car shows coming up?

    I've seen many photos but would like to see one up close.
