    We already know he ranked it up with the F430 in terms of fun on his Times Online article a month or so ago, now the Top Gear review. The Stig statement at the end means a lot given they've driven everything. Being a Black owner I'm a little biased too, and sure I'll get beat up on the depreciation as most AMG's do, but this one is a little special and a keeper. Depreciation be damned, its a helluva car.

    From the moment I saw the CLK AMG 63 Black I wanted one and now I want one even more! A friend out on the east coast has one so maybe he will let me drive his if I ask real nice like! *fingers crossed*

    That road he drove on in Wales is only 10 mins from my house, i drive it regularly and also have a coffee in the cafe that Jeremy was in :)

    I agree with you and Jeremy. I love my BS. Now my only issue is wether or not I will step up to the SL Black Series. I am just waiting for its official introduction to see it it will be worth the extra $$$.

    I have to say, I am NOT a fan of the new front end on the SL! I thought the last one was GREAT, but this new one just does not do it for me! Did Chris Bangle take over the design dept to start helping BMW by screwing up the designs of M/B??? I don't think you could do any better than your CLK BS personally! That car has the right look and the right proportions too!

    I'm with you on the SL Black, my dealer here has seen photos of the finished product and he said it has quite a different appearance on it. It won't be a convertible, strictly hardtop and horsepower figures although not official will be a just a hair under 700hp. Priced + or - around $200k.

    Recently I've been tempted by the Granturismo S, but with limited garage space the Black would have to go, but I can't imagine the S coming close to the fun factor the Black provides. The Black is one of those few cars where you drive it 100 feet and you know immediately its something different.

    Phil, glad to hear you are still enjoying your BS. I knew you would.

    From the spy shots I have seen of the SL BS, it may have even more aggressive styling the the CLK. However, with the SL being a fixed roof coupe I am just not sure it will be worth the move from the BS for me. It is already difficult to get all the CLK power to the road, so I can't imagine what another 170hp would do. Can't waite for the German GP for the introduction.
