    So loud it distorted the microphone....I know in person it's the way these cars should sound. My F8 is so dull!!!

    I had 2 mics clipped on the license plate. I need to find a better place for them so it doesn't distort.

    Uh oh ... are you starting to miss your 488? The F8 exhaust note is the Achilles heel. Otherwise, it's an amazing car. You may need to chance an exhaust mod. I hope you're not having any regrets ...

    Does your recording device allow you to adjust mic input gain?

    A little…being it was my 1st Ferrari….exhaust was stock but valves were plugged open. I do love the F8, looks, performance…

    Ok then, not knowing your mic and recording device....but you should look into an outboard mic pre-amp. if you could plug the mic into a mic pre and then into your recording device you could then set mic gain level. I think any other locations would create a lot of wind noise.
