Good observation, and a reason why the 2014 car was much better suited to Alonso's style. Looking at photos of last year's car vs this year, the difference is radical. Looking at other cars, both last year and this, the f14T was significantly different than the other cars. Let's hope that Kimi and Vettel benefit from the change.

Interesting video and also Scalabroni's comments on the front wing.

I don't think that car suited anyone. Alonso was struggling from the beginning and the entire season, he simply adapted to it better than Kimi could.

The driver is an important link, "is this faster?".

With Alonso gone, Kimi + Alison, Ferrari's designs will change as the driver input has also changed drastically.

Thanks for the video link, very informative. Looks very straight-forward with no
disadvantages, but I'm sure there are trade-offs. I mean, if they decided to go higher
last year must have been for a reason despite being more agressive with the tires.

More airflow to the lower areas on the aft sections of the car is the advantage.

Disadvantage is that it makes the car difficult to control when braking and turning.
