Here is a very amateur video shot by myself while driving (!) my 355 spider with capristo and test pipes... Sony digital cam in one hand filming, and steering wheel and shift knob in the other hand...
This was the only tunnel that is close to my house. I will be taking some real footage once the weather clears up.

    enjoy for now

Gordon that sounds AWESOME! I wonder what all those people you drove by were thinking, especially that white SUV you followed for a while! This is all probably less than half an hour away from my house :D Good driving skills too. Can't wait to hear this in person!

Everywhere we go nowadays, we get stuck behind an SUV. Grrr.

However ... Gordon, your car sounds awesome. I still have the stock pipes in my F355B and I haven't decided to go Tubi or Capristo. I'll have to "audition" one in person soon.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Gordon,

Sounds great, thanks for posting. I've stuck with stock cause it's plenty loud and sounds sweet...while I do occassionally wonder if a louder pipe would be fun I'm still uncertain if it'd want it all the time.

Anyways, if you don't mind me asking, I noticed you had 2 lights on in your dash. One was flashing the other solid...what were they? Was one of them the airbag light?

    Thanks

Thanks for all the nice comments. The video really does not do justice to how it really sounds... I will have to get someone to film from the outside.

The 2 lights are: check engine light and slow down light. They have triggered due to the removal of the cats and the aftermarket exhaust - which is pretty common for 96-99 models. I will eventually get it back to my dealer to try to get this solved..

Very nice, best f-car sound i have heard except for an f-50 clip. If you do get a video shot, it would be nice to hear full acceleration thru the first 3 gears or so.

Must enhance your experience quite a bit!

Sounds amazing. I love the sound of the 355. Pure Genious.

I had test pipes on my NSX and it was so freaking loud that you could hear it from a mile away. The car was OBNOXIOUS. I was attracting way too much attention. So, they are back on now.

by the way, on the second clip when I was saying "what the hell" that is when I realized that the parking brake was still on after checking out my first bout of curb rash after stupidly going through the drive through at my local bank! Oh what a terrible sound! I did not even want to look as I thougth I ripped the whole rear spoiler off :( . I guess it is nothing that can't be fixed but it sure hurt!

no problem. what is the best setup to use for filming from the outside of the car? I have a 5 mp sony camera that I have used from the inside, and it is convenient to upload it onto the computer... any suggestions?

Well I was just thinking have a friend stand outside and tape you, that way you could see the whole car in the video. You can drive up to Notre Dame and I'll tape it for you :D just kidding
