In the pre 911 days this would be really cool .
    Everyone is too uptight now.
Wonder if any repercussions to the pilot.

that one low pass, when he's doing... some kind of wing slide? where his prop is pointed 45-degrees above the horizon, but he's moving sideways... next to and below the tower windows... holy ****. incredible balls.

I'm surprised he can fit his balls in the cockpit, that's all I have to say! :D

I think it does take a little crazy, but like car racing I think they know exactly where the limits are. I do things on the race track or flying the Super Decathlon that some would call crazy, but trust me it is all very calculated and I've worked up to it. I'm actually being very conservative, but then if you just see it without all the buildup then a different perspective. Both car racing and flying the vehicle becomes an extension of yourself, you know exactly what it is going to do.

I've been to the Red Bull Air Races in San Diego at both events. It is incredible. These planes fly by the crowds just like you saw on this video. If you ever have the opportunity to see it in person, be sure and go. Makes F1 look like a Soap Box Derby.

Yeah Rob, but at the limit the unexpected can become an issue - like a bird strike or mechanical issue. Not that I am against performance anything, mind you, but that kind of low altitude perfromance flying is not exactly safe, either.

Aviation is high on my list, but not unlesss I have real time to devote to it, because if I was as rusty in an ariplane as I can get in race car after only a few weeks, then bad things could happen

yes, I was thinking of ways to include that as an exception, but hard to explain. Coolant leak on the rear tires, oil on the track, another driver mistake, ...
