I'm looking for a nice digital camcorder for a reasonable price. A few years ago I had a mini-dv camcorder and always used the viewfinder, not the LCD screen. I thought it worked better for following the objects (mainly Ferraris on the track ), it saved battery life and the LCD screen would be difficult to see in bright sunlight. The problem with today's camcorders is the lack of a viewfinder. At least not for a reasonable price (the cheapest here are around 900 euro, I'm looking for maybe 400 euro tops). But then I came across this external viewfinder: http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170674140221&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 It's for a DSLR, but it got me thinking if I could find a camcorder that would fit this as well. The problem will probably be that most LCD screens on current camcorders have a wide screen, so even if it would have a diameter of 3 inches, the external viewfinder still wouldn't fit. Continuing to search, I came across another solution called a sun hood: http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380370315247&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 I'ts not really the same as a viewfinder, but it would eliminate the glare on the LCD screen in bright sunlight. So long story short: anyone know if there are external viewfinders out there that fit on a camcorder's wide screen LCD? Or alternatively, anyone have any experience with the sun hood? Thanks in advance. Peter Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
