"James Glickenhaus who is famed in Ferrari circles for his impressive collection which includes the oldest Ferrari in existance - the 1947 166 Spyder Corsa # 002C -" Did you tell them 002C was the oldest? They need spell check too.
That isn't the final article. This is: http://www.italiaspeed.com/2008/cars/ferrari/05/villa_deste/dino_competizione/0405.html As for 002C, it is the oldest Ferrari existent. 01C was scrapped ending it's legal identity as 01C as that chassis was never used to rebuild 01C and instead may or may not have been used at a later time by Ferrari to make 010I. If Ferrari did use 01C's chassis to make 010I at a later date (IMO that has not been proved to have happened to the car currently known as "01C/010I" and in light of Nathan's post about the chassis having no stampings in the 70ies is very doubtful) 01C ended and 010I began. More recently Ferrari Classiche did turn the Willbanks car into "01C/010I" whatever that may or may not be. IMO once Ferrari restamped the chassis with a different number one car ended and another began. Unlike "01C/010I" 002C has maintained a continuous existence since the day Ferrari made her. BTW the author of the article has read all of the relevant threads on FCHAT, done his own research and come to his own conclusions which I happen to agree with.
Knowing it's a well worn debate, I apologize for going off topic. Just curious where the author got that notion. It's a meme that will die when 001S surfaces. Anyhow. He said "The main theme of the Dino Competizione was the necessity of the glass window surfaces with circular cross section" -- was that really the main theme?
Paolo Martin was there and spoke to him. Likely he would know. As an aside it was 01C, 02C, 002C (002I)
I hope they make it too! http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/04/spied-bmw-m1-prototype-caught-undisguised-maybe/

You are trully one in a million Jim! Yes there are other collections out there - but yours is simply unreal! Hopefully I'll get to see the Dino at Monterey - even though it will be a working weekend for me. It will be great to once again see the P4/5... hopefully out on the roads. I really want to get some shots of her out in the "wild".
