    If any of you are dealers / have access is it possible to check a VIN & know;

    1. If the color combo is correct?
    2. Services that have been done at the dealer (warrantee or majors are my main concern)?
    3. Services done at non-dealers?

    If so & your willing to check a couple for me please drop me an email [email protected].

    Thanks!

    Brad

    As I'm looking at multiple cars that are on the market I'd prefer the email rather than broadcasting who's cars I'm looking at....thanks! BW

    Brad -- None of the information you seek is encoded in the VIN.

    (see www.red-headed.com, click to enter the site, click on "Articles" on the left, and at the bottom of that page is a link for "Decoding the VIN")

    Only by going thru the Owner's Site can you confirm original colors and equipment component ID numbers......

    It's not a speedy process...

    Lift the carpets or look under trim panels if you suspect a repaint..If it's so darn good you can't tell....don't worry about it, IMO.
