I read on another site that the 9th digit should also be "0" for all US cars.

    For the following VIN ZFFRG36AXM0090415
would this mean that the car was orginally in another country and then imported to the US?

This could explain why the Carfax log starts with several thousand miles instead of from the beginning.

Can anyone answer this? I am considering making an offer on this car.

My reading of the decoder is "O" as 9th digit is for markets other than the US. The rest of that VIN indicates a US market 1991 348 ts

    Thanks.
    I see what you mean.

    Here's the information I read.
"The 9th digit is a USA CHECK DIGIT for Ferraris for markets other than North America this digit is always a 0 except for Japan where it may be an A or a P."

But I've seen many US cars for sale with a zero as well.
