    Looking at used vintage car on saturday. does any one have a check list that they can email to [email protected] or fax to 410-461-3863? looking at 1957 300sl mercedes. thanks

    so your 308 ferrari takes a crap and your sitting on the side of the road. hope the person who stops and offers help is driving a ferrari or i guess you are in deep doo doo.

    Steve. I think he meant to say, "happy to help, but this might belong in off topic."

    As to a check list, I can probably get one for you from a friend of mine wh buys these cars for a living.

    Or, better yet, he probably hires out for $90/hour. He can do a pre-sale inspection for you.

    I'll see what I can do for you.

    And, to get off on a good foot, try a little polite conversation, instead of a snarly rebuke when someone on here acts like a snotty Ferrari owner, not all of us are.

    Go to tomyang.net, a strictly vintage Ferrari board. There are some prepurchase checklists on there - exactly where, I'm not sure.

    sorry to read that as negative. guess i got too defensive. my appoligies. i looked a 57 300sl original 31,000 miles but rough. too much money wanted by owner still. started looking for daytona, then have switched to 300sl. still hunting. thanks
