Vintage Dino Service Sign

I think I would skip the raised letters and tell the sign maker about the breakage. He might suggest a slightly thicker plastic.

 

I have 2 labrador retrievers that sleep in my garage- I can assure you they wont care if its raised letters or not. Neither will I !!

I have an original Dino Service sign. Anyone have an idea what it's worth? I know they're pretty rare.

How about a backside picture? It looks as though it may be incomplete. And what are it's dimensions? The super expensive one linked to in post #28 is the same size as the original Ferrari Service signs. Your sign appears much smaller.

 

On the back of the sign is a small circular sticker with PB in it and small letters that say Price Brothers Inc.. It has in the small rectangular sticker, Local # 714 Fabricators, and in the large red sticker a #16 on it. So I'm assuming there were at least 16 of these signs made. It is 19 1/2 inches by 14 3/4 inches and definitely appears vintage from the 70's.

My original has raised lettering. I made a bunch of replicas with raised lettering to hang in garage's. A couple broke in shipping so I quit sending them.

I have a few left somewhere. I might make another batch IF I get a little free time. I'm currently buried in Dino's, which is a good thing. If you want to come down to my shop I can dig out just the plastic face, no light can. They were ok, if I make again I can do much better as I met a guy very close to my shop who does the thermoforming. Just takes time for me to make a wood pattern.

 

I am intersted in one. No problem with light box, can make it here.

 

This is different than other "originals" I've seen, but of course that doesn't make yours or those others wrong...just harder to know what truly is `correct' or how many different styles were made by (or for) Ferrari. Just like locating Dino parts.

 

McCann had one years ago and I thought it said Neon Modena on the back. They are still in business and have been since 1959. I would like a nice repro Dino Service sign as well. Not looking for an investment grade sign, just something to hang on the old garage wall.

 

Hey guys, I work for Rutlands and would be happy to ask Ted about the possibility of running some repro Dino signs. I'd love to have one myself!
