Received the following message today from FLU: The Italian Car Corral is ON! Thanks goes to the commitment of Italian car owners who bought 44 advance tickets through Fiat Lancia Unlimited (FLU). Anyone who did not buy advance tickets, can buy tickets at the gate or AAA member can still get advance tickets at AAA offices in the metro area. THE CORRAL WILL NOT BE AT THE SKID PAD OF WEST BEND. THE CORRAL WILL BE AT THE AUTOCROSS AREA (NOT THE GO CART AREA, EITHER). THIS AREA IS ADJACENT TO THE UPHILL SECTION OF THE TRACK. THOSE WHO RECEIVED ADVANCE TICKETS FROM FLU ALSO RECEIVED A BROCHURE THAT INCLUDES A MAP OF THE TRACK SHOWING THE LOCATION OF THE AUTOCROSS AREA. AT THE "TOLL BOOTH CHECKPOINT" YOU WILL TURN RIGHT. GET TO THE CORRAL BY 10:00 AM TO ASSURE YOURSELF A SPACE. AFTER 10:00 AM THE TRACK STAFF WILL BEGIN ENCROACHING ON THE CORRAL BY PARKING THE PUBLIC'S CARS NEAR US. THE HORROR OF IT ALL....THE UNWASHED! THE WEATHER IS FORECAST TO BE THE BEST FOR LABOR DAY IN YEARS. COME MAKE THE TWELFTH ANNUAL ITALIAN CAR CORRAL THE BIGGEST EVER. Italian Cars Corralled at Lime Rock on Labor Day, September 5, 2005 Over Labor Day Weekend Lime Rock Park Race Track in Lakeville, Connecticut will hold its 23nd Annual Vintage Festival. The schedule includes qualifying races on Saturday, a Concours on Sunday and Vintage Races on Labor Day. In conjunction with race day at Lime Rock, Fiat Lancia Unlimited (FLU) will sponsor its 12th Annual Italian Car Corral on Labor Day. All Italian marques are welcome to join the corral. Each year, the corral attracts aa stable of Italian cars including Fiat's, Lancia's, Ferrari's, Maseratis, Lamborghinis and Alfa's. There is no extra charge to participants in the corral.
