One other tire I found is the Goodyear EagleII in these sizes. They all have the raised white letters, these tires are mostly for classic muscle cars. You can remove the lettering fairly easy with brake parts cleaner or acetone.
That nutty Abarth guy at Faza, Alfred Cosentino, was selling new Campanello wheels for Ferrari's a short while ago. I am sure someone here can dig him up for you. I believe they were $1000 each. Yale
Good lord, Cosentino's still around? A quick google search says: FAZA, USA (Fiat-Abarth-Zagato-Allemano) FAZA Alfred Cosentino Box 1917 Thousand Oaks California 91360 USA FAZA X1/9 / Strada / 128 Race World Repair Manual" Alfred S. Cosentino. H tel. (+1) 818 707 2301
I notice a lot of focus on the issue of speedometer error due to different tire makes/sizes. But how sure are we that the intrinsic speedomenter error itself is not of the same order of magnitude? I have had a number of cars with a fairly large error, but none that were spot-on. One could either compensate for or exaggerate that error depending on the tires. Cheers Warren
FAZA is here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7927562202&category=6761&sspagename=WDVW He's still selling stuff on ebay.
