Wow! Looks like Mr Ballot is up to his old tricks. I agree, forums should not be used to "pile on" to someone, but they do serve as a very good tool to warn others about questionable service or a great experience with a particular company.
I will confirm nerofrance's comments as I was the person who got in touch with him about the Ghibli (thanks for the help!!). Mr Ballot, DBA European Vintage Car Company, took my deposit for a Ghibli to be delivered from France. Long story short, 8 months later and a multitude of excuses and lies (car never arrived in the USA as stated, but was still in France) I was lucky to get my down payment back by going through my credit card fraud department.
I hope he has turned over a new leaf DBA as Vintage Car, but I would definitely lay eyes on the car before I put any money down...

 

To be fair with him, I must say he changed his way of selling, he works now as a broker which means when he offers a car, you pay the real owner. Frederic Ballot takes his commission from the seller later, only when the deal is realized.It should help to avoid the errors of the past.

Speaking about italian cars.
Frederic Ballot signed an agreement mentioning he would provide me a de Tomaso Pantera 1972 and some cash to refund what I had paid for the 1966 Jaguar XKE roadster I had paid in 2010 and never received. I've never seen neither the Pantera nor the cash.
Anyway I've got the bill of the Pantera, even the document in french proving the selling is done. Of course there must be somebody on earth who is the real owner, I just want to provide to the justice the evidence Ballot was not allowed to offer this car. And if I'm wrong, the De Tomaso should be in my garage.
So please help me to find where is this car. By the way, Ballot threatened me today he would come at my door very soon to "take care" of me.

Apparently Barton Workman is speaking for himself and needs to be reminded about my statement. Also it is very obvious the paragraph 1 of this forum rules is not applicable for personal friend of the owner of this forum.

After month of damaging my name by Mr. Barton Workman, I believe now it is about time to reveal what exactly happened. Everything is provable.
Back in November of 2013 Barton introduced me to one of his client regarding his interest for the purchase of Rolls Royce's and Bentleys(I'm avoiding to expose the name of this person because I do not have the right to do so contrary to some people). At that time I was doing some deals with somebody which of sometimes we were partners on some business. This person is not a member of my company never been associated in any kind. In December of 2013 Barton's customer had decided to purchase a Rolls Royce and Bentley. The full amount of the transaction has been sent to a friend of his customer inTokyo. The partner I had in this deal received the commission in Tokyo. We agreed Barton will receive $ 5,000.00 commission. I never had any contract signed with Barton. I have received my commission minus 50% of my participation for Barton commission. Unfortunately the person I was dealing with, never sent to Barton his commission. I must stipulate all the time Barton was perfectly aware of the situation. Sometime in February of 2014 his phone was disconnected and a few days later he post a nasty comment about me making me responsible for not been able to pay his phone bill. I have explained him to post a comment in a forum which has nothing to do with Rolls Royce and Bentley was not only wrong but inappropriate. Three weeks later based on his email he was unable to take care of his water and electricity bill and of course making me responsible for that.
At the beginning I have ask him kindly to remove those untrue and damaging comments but the answer was too bad.
I feel very sorry for what is happened to Barton but many times I had ask him to contact directly this guy but told me it is not his problem.
I found very strange when I ask him why did he post a comment on the FerrariChat knowing this forum is talking about Ferrari and Maserati, his answer was, I know personally the owner.
Very strange the owner of this website authorizing somebody to post comments about something who basically has nothing with Ferrari but Rolls Royce an Bentley.
I just wanted to rectify certain things.

 

The forum covers virtually all marques so your argument that it doesn't belong here causes me to raise an eyebrow. All you have to do is spend 2 minutes looking around to realize that. One of the best things about Ferrarichat is that is a place to trade information. Plenty of questionable dealers have been exposed here, it helps the membership as a whole avoid unscrupulous business partners. That being said, Barton is making himself look silly with all the posts about it. He needs to lawyer up and handle it appropriately and not here since posting here isn't going to get him a cent.

I completely agree with your comment, however if the forum's name is " Ferrarichat " I believe the discussions should be around Ferrari or other Italian cars. Regarding Barton if I was completely reponsible in this deal I will handle it differently unfortunately in this deal I also have been a victim, something, Barton has problem to understand. Finally you are right by posting diffamatory comments about my company and myself will not bring any cent probably a lawsuit for slandering.

 

Knock it off with this or your ability to post here will be revoked. We cover virtually all carmakers here. You've told your story and our members can decide on their own if they want to work with you or not.
