I am looking at at a 1995 355 being sold by VIP Motors. Spoke to a Bryan who seemed very straight up. Anybody know anything about this dealer?

Ric, you are in Covington, KY (I assume) and this consignment dealer is located in San Jose, California. The car has California plates on it based on their website pictures.

I see a couple of issues up front that you should investigate:

    1) Doing a reverse lookup on their phone number from their website does not bring up their business address or name.

    2) No physical address shown on their website.

This leads me to believe that VIP is simply a flashy consignment website that does not actually have possession of the car.

If you are really serious about this specific vehicle, it sounds like you will need to invest in a plane ticket to San Jose (NorCal) and get a PPI done. Try posting in the NorCal regional forum for a good independent shop. I think Rifledriver (Brian) is somewhere in that area too.

    Good luck!

Brian (Rifledriver) and Bryan from VIP are different people. Both are stand-up individuals and I recommend both since your asking. I've been on a couple of F-car/Lambo caravans with Bryan from VIP and I think it would work out fine. He is a connoisseur which I think is much better than a dealer who is just moving a car.
