    No way...that SUCKS!!! They need to plant another one, but it will be a long time before it can even touch the last one...

    That was a fixture. Sad to hear. That tree had taken on a true personality over the years.

    Dear me! Every time I saw footage from a racetrack I didn't immediately recognize, as soon as I saw that tree, I instantly knew that it was VIR. I hope they plant another tree in its place, even though it obviously won't equal the departed tree's majesty.
