    Question for forum members:

I have taken the time to discuss 430 spyder order with the rep at Montreal auto show on Wen. My intention is to have it ordered to hopefully convince dealer to commit to summer 08 delivery, as I have heard on many occasions that 18 months is what the wait time is, and its also when lease on my 911 expires.

To my absolute surprise, ferrari rep offered me a car with under 2k kms at approx MSRP.

From what I can remember, 360 Spyder always sold at 30-50k premium ( CAN)
even at a later production years, what is going on now? F430 is not deemed as desirable as 360 used to be? What type of wait did you experience on 430 spyder, conventional trans?

I appreciate all feedback, especially canadian, as it would be most useful to me.

If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Do your due diligence on the car. F430 Coupes and Spiders (...not Spyder) are going for $25-$50K above MSRP (US) depending on mileage, options, and colors. Spiders will be at the high-end of the premium range, some possibly beyond it.

Compare the US and CDN MSRP's and you will find that there already is a healthy premium built into the CDN MSRP due to the strong Canadian dollar.

Spider's can sell for premiums in Canada and it will range depending on where you go. From what I have seen, Montreal is not one of those places.
