Is anyone receiving strange emails with a zip file attached? I think it gave me a VIRUS.

Yep, there has been an outbreak of the doom virus since yesterday.
Did you open an email from someone you don't know?
We've been getting those for a couple weeks now....
I never open attachments. Sometimes you can do it accidently though.
yes, it is a NEW one and the anti virus folks are just now releasing solutions. The virus has been live for about 48 hours now.
DAMN! I must have opened the attachment on accident. I now have a TROJAN and it ate ALL my Excel& Word documents. Anyone have any suggestions????
any suggestions on getting rid of it?? Or getting my documents back??
I don't know off hand - Perhaps check the anti virus internet sites.
Unzip, ask questions later, a sure fire way to catch something!
If it is a file called 'Undelivered' then there is a netsky stinger program you can use to clean it up... I have it if you want.
email me at email@example.com and I'll send it to ya.
Do you have Norton Anti Virus or McAfee on your computer? They usually quarantine it prior to it hitting your system. Go to www.symantec.com
The problem is that virus' are spreading FASTER than the anti-virus folks have solutions. Therefore the Anti-Virus software is worthless at stopping said virus. Of course if you do have a virus, many of them are removable via the UPDATED version (days later) anti-virus software.
Then again... An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Get a mac!!! I love mine and I have been using a PC forever but the transition was good, it is so much cleaner, no pop ups, no spyware, no virus.
I just cleaned out Blaster Worm/Doom Virus from my PC it nearly took a day to upload all the data from Microsoft site...
I must now say im as safe as can be and it appears to be fine.......
Why don't you install an anti-virus software. I have Norton on my computer and it's been working great.
Norton anti virus in combination with ad-aware. Works fine, and delete everything from unknown senders without a clear subject without even looking. If they want a reply they have to type a clear subject
i haven't received any to my personal account, but our office Yahoo email address has been getting them, non-stop... It's ridiculous...
Ive been getting them too...from email addresses that have the same domain as me in my school email address inbox. I dont use this email address for anything other than talking to teachers and family. How did this happen?
I also got an email bounced back that i never sent to someone i dont know. I never open these attachments! How did this crap get into my inbox!
