A few weeks ago Beryl, aka Cowgirl, and I went out to Boulder, Colorado to look at some office space for our cryptocurrency and blockchain practice which has gone a bit crazy, monkey-balls of late. Since our ’99 550, Guido, (Cowgirl’s sleek Italian gigolo) has a service coming up we thought we would stop by Dave Helm’s shop, Scuderia Rampante, and see what he’s about. All I can say is, wow. His shop is incredible! And he’s pretty amazing too as is his daughter Jenny who is a mechanic. I’ve yacked in detail with a lot of Ferrari wrenches and I’ve never known anyone that has Dave’s depth of understanding of exotics, crazy weird but useful experiences, and really ribald sense of humor in which he packages all of it. It was a genuinely enjoyable visit and I strongly recommend if you’re around Denver and have some personal time you should make an effort to stop by his shop in Erie. It’s about 30 minutes from DEN or the same if flying corporate into Rocky Mountain Metro Airport in Broomfield.

We took some informal pictures. Unfortunately we didn’t get a picture of the helicopter parked in back by the cigar smoking polar bear. Sorry….:)

Doesn't every Ferrari shop have one of these racks?

Beryl, a stone cold maniac in the 550, was heard to say, "I think we need one of these. Too."

    A couple of many projects.

Image Unavailable, Please Login Dave's lounge. And yes, that's part of an airplane he's leaning on. Why not have that in your lounge???

The polar bear over looks the lounge. He keeps the peace.

Seriously. You need to visit this place. You can thank me later. T.

From the photos, much bigger than his prior shop. The car stacker is pretty wild :)

    Awesome pics... thanks for sharing!

The stacker reminds me of this one at Canepa... but Dave’s seems to have even more capacity. Either way, it translates to serious lift envy. o_O

    Cheers!

Those are the pictures of success without the need of Fchat goobers. DH just quietly gets stuff done and lets his results do the talking.

Amazing. Tremendous knowledge and expertise. I emailed him about my now gone Mondial T cab and he actually answered me himself. I was sending it to him for his thorough work before I knew exactly how amazing his shop was. Kinda embarrassing sending a 30k car cross country to be in line with those other beauties. Mine was a rounding error in comparison.
