I will be in Europe for two months this summer and about a week of that will be in Italy. I would love to get to see some Italian car manufacturers, as well as some museums. Does anyone know which factories and museums are worth visiting and which ones offer tours? I would greatly appreciate any information.

might sounds crazy, but I hear Ferraris are made there... Galleria Ferrari I hear is the best.

I just considered that was a given. Do they actually offer tours of the facility?

Not unless you are an owner.
I'd hit San Marino (and the car museum over there), as well as as many tuscaby backroads as possible. :)

Been to the Galleria in Maranello many times - very much recommend it, same with Maranello Rosso in San Marino - very much recommend it - lots of history upstairs in loft area about Enzo and Ferrari cars. We're going to the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese this coming Monday during a short trip to Maranello for Test Day. From the website it looks to be well worth the time also.
