Planning a trip to Italy in the near future, and the only way to squeeze in a Maranello visit, is on a sunday..
I assume the factory is closed and there won't be many Ferraris out on the streets, or am I wrong? And what other do's and don'ts do we have?

You definitely won't get into the factory, however you may well see many Ferraris on the streets, especially if you rent one!

I assume both Montana and Cavallino are open on Sunday, and probably the Museum as well.

Sunday isn't too bad, Saturday night on the other hand, you will be hard pressed to find a place to eat! Ending up meeting Dr. Steve Olvey and his wife at a little pizzeria because it was the only place open and we were the only people in there. Best lime juice I ever had was at this place, wish I knew what it was!

Not interested in factory tour since I'm not an owner and don't have any contacts for that. Was just curious if there would be any acticity at all..

Montana is closed on Sunday, but there are several other places around that are good for dinner such as La Brace or Carisma, or The Drake near the "downtown" of Maranello. Also, Lo Smeralda in nearby Pozza is quite good as well. Pizzeria La Buffala in Maranello is also quite good.

As to activities on a Sunday, there could be some local car club activities that might bring Ferraris out in the streets. The Ferrari Museum will be open. It is also recommended to take a short ride up to Modena to visit the Enzo Ferrari birthplace museum.

Last summer i rented a f430 in maranello on sunday morning, it was great open roads and not too many cars around so you can go fast. The Ferrari museum is open also the Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena wich i liked even more than the Ferrari Museum, i went on sunday afternoon. I saw a few ferraris, lancias, one lambo it is always nice.
