    Hello New Yorkers,

My wife and I will be visiting your neck of the woods for about a week between july 1-7. Just seeing if anyone has any MUST sees (or in my case MUST EATS). Let me know. We will be staying in Manhattan. Thanks

    Kyle

Do a search on New York City visit 2010. You won't find any more than what's on there.

Let us know what type you'd like to hit and that will help us narrow it down. Endless NYC restaurant info can be found on this forum:

Must see stuff: NY Botanical Garden has a show based on the Alhambra that supposed to be terrific. The Frick Collection (and all other major museums) are fantastic, but packed on wknds.

I don't care for the Times Square area so much but obviously others seem to enjoy it.

Outer boroughs have some fantastic food and things to see - don't limit yourself to Manhattan.

STK, Abe and Arthurs or The Standard Grill in the Meatpacking District (west village). Great scene, great food in a great part of the city. Especially packed on Thursday nights. After you eat, go for a stroll on the High Line (just ask around and you will find the entrance).

that is one of the busiest tourist weeks for the city............so there will be no shortage of parties and events......

for places to eat, my weapon of choice is http://www.menupages.com/

there are way too many "must eats" to list, it really depends on what you like.......

"must sees" also depends on what you like, if anything make a list of things YOU definitely want to see.......and ask for more suggestions.

where in Manhattan are you staying???

my 1 recommendation...............go to the Top of The Rock, instead of the top of the Empire State building.
