I've been looking for a few varieties of vitamins that don't show up in local stores (CVS, Ekhard, etc.). Anyone know of a reliable way of mail-ordering vitamins by the 'net? Is it safe? (Both quality and secure order-wise.)
I buy alot from vitamins.com (Puritan's Pride). Great prices and good products, unless one wants to overpay.
From my research, it seems that they used to have a "Leg Health" formula, but they've dropped it. I'd think there'd be tons of citrus flavonoids coming from florida -- but most seem to be imports. Anyone ever heard of "supplement hut", "total health", "herbs pro", or "swanson vitamins"?
What particular product or health benefit are you looking for, I apply alot of non-drug treatment with patients.
Micronized Diosmin/Hesperidin mix. Supposed to improve circulation and reduce leg cramps -- as well as other benefits. There's been a new rash of clinical testing on diosmin since '94 or so. Google "diosmin" for studies to cure everything but the common cold. Servier in France produces a 9:1 mix called "Daflon" sold in Europe and SA, but they don't sell in the US.
I order multivitamins from Swanson, no experience with their other products. Their service has been good.
