Received the viton ones from SP. They are identical to those in the photo. Open side goes to the oil side. Gearbox. The flow of the oil has to push the seal open to make a good sealing.
So, just to be clear, the groove side is to be installed facing the front of the car (or in other words towards the engine)? And do you finally think that these ones are better then the OEM?
Till now all is ok. I think they are better. A bit fragile to install but way easier then those original "hard" ones. Lubricate very well before pushing them "in" ! You must always think as the oil pressure is pushing outwards ( or in some cases inwards) the 2 legs of the seal.
