    james, got a 08 f430, just got it with brand new OEM headers installed by the stealer but it's a matter of time… got S line Exh. on order but thinking of AP header vs. fabspeed…
    who makes your headers ? your in-house? in china ? by fab? tell me more….
    if it's comparable quality, I'd go with AP and probably need the oem gaskets….

    also, how effective is ceramic coating in terms of heat reduction vs wrapping and blankets?

    i was thinking of wrapping it actually … as I've done with my other exhausts and headers…

    which heat blanket is better, the one by capristo or the one made by fabspeed ???

    lots of questions… if you can answer them, it'd help me decide….

    The Agency Power and Fabspeed headers are the same design, same material, and same limited lifetime warranty. The only difference between them is the price point.


    The ceramic coating is an entry level option to try and reduce heat. Some F430's have the e-brake cable running quite close to the manifolds. For these, you need blankets to prevent damage to the e-brake cable. For those that are run away from the manifolds, ceramic coating is fine. Blankets are the best option without a doubt. They keep the temps down quite a bit, which is also good for the longevity of things like the alternator and steering related components. Wrapping them would be a good option as well.


    The Capristo blankets are superior to the Fabspeed in both material and fitment, but they are also more expensive.

    thanks james for posting the answer here...

    more specifically, is AP header and Fabspeed header made by the same people in same place, as you are possibly saying here ?? I'm curious cause I always thought fabspeed was made by them inhouse in Penn ? maybe not ?
    if AP is just as durable and had no issues, I'm going with AP....
    I have fabspeed X pipe exh. for my huracan and they are HEAVY duty built...

    as to heat, I will probably just wrap the entire header out to exhaust...

    Q I have is, is it ok to wrap the cats ? it won't get too hot and burn /melt the internals or anything ??
