Vote which is prettier: 355 or 360 (coupes)

I'm old school. While I like the 360 CS over the standard 360, I like the 355 much much more than the "new" little Ferrari. For me I can see lines in the 355 that go as far back as the 246. It also has desigh cues from the 308, 288 and the F40 all rolled into a body that has the heritage of the small Ferrari while still being a modern great looking car. The 360 to me, looks like the ubiquitous melted jelly bean aero look of most Japanese, German and American family sedans. There are no ties to the lineage of wence it came, Just a passing similarity of it's back end to the 550. It is a characterless shape, a "blob" with doors. What I do like better on the 360 is the seating position, not the interior as I still think the 355 is better in that sense also (except for the over use of heat shrink leather).

can't believe that I am outnumbered by such a wide margin..........I voted 360.

 

While I love the look of the 360's front nose, I love the overall look of F355 Berlinetta...I just can't stop staring at it. Regardless of available funds, I'd rather have a base 355 over a base 360.

 

We did this poll last month and the F355 won by a convincing but unsubstantial margin.

 

IMO the F355 looks more like a true Ferrari than the 360.

I have a 360, but watched a 355 spider yest am for several miles on Hwy 17, San Jose. Beautiful car.

On the one hand I like the 355 classic appearance, but aren't the wind-tunnel data in favor of the 360's aerodynamics? What do you do if the physics favor an appearance your eyes do not? Do my eyes need to be retrained?

For me, function matters more, but I think I am in the minority.

The 355 is in my opinion one of the most balanced and beautiful cars ever made, especially for a 90s design however when it comes to visual impact on the road, the 360 gets the nod. the 355 looks prettier in pics and the modena looks much better on the road than pics

 

Italian design has ALWAYS been form over function. Guess Ferrari was trying to get some of Porsche's biz with the 360?

I prefer the 360 coupe.

However, in Spider form, I think the 360 looks awkward -- I much prefer the clean lines of the 355.

360 Coupe is one of the most beautiful designs ever. 355 is nice, but a little dated. Pop-up headlights remind me of a Corvette.

 

There have been several similar votes. Fairly consistently, this comes out as 60-40 in favor of the 355. I'm in the minority, BTW.

 

I've said it before in my posts: the 355 doesn't do anything for me. Didn't initially like the 360 in pics either, but from the first sight in the flesh, I was hooked!

Hmmm....And when I look at my 360 I see the same 246 lines. Funny, while having coffee last weekend a woman walked up to me and said, "My husband use to have Ferrari that looked very similar to yours, I think it was a 240 something Dino".

 

I'll take the styling of the 355b but the performance of 360cs.

 

355. I feel like a traitor, owning a 360, but I do prefer the 355 looks. However, the "wind tunnel design" of the 360 can grow on you, and the cockpit is definitely more spacious. I wouldn't kick either one out of my garage for leaking oil.

For modern Ferraris, my top choice would looks wise is the 355 GTS, painted top.

 

In general I prefer the looks of the F355.
