Does anyone on the forum have any experience with these tires? After 10k the PZeros have finally given up. I usually purchase through Tire Rack and have them delivered to a place I trust. I was talking with these guys today and they are recommending I buy this tire. I don't know a thing about Vredestein. Anyone have any first-hand tales to tell?
Absolutely loved my Ultrac II's. Can't comment on the Sessanta. I didn't like the appearance of the design. Just didn't look like it wanted to go straight. Vredestien has been in business for years making very high end bicycle tires.
I've been running them on my 456M for 3 years and about 6k miles. Love the look and the Guigaro styling. They do squeal on occasional (or maybe that's me...) but they seem to hold the road great. I don't track or really drive hard but occasional defeat of the traction control is fun and these tires smoke like the rest. Ran Vredesteins for a few years in Euorope and they are a good brand. Did see a report sometime back and the Sessanta were right up there in performance with the Michelins and Contis. Really do love the look. Can't post pics on my iPad but will from my laptop if you like.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I agree the looks of the tire are truely unique. And, yup, St. B it sure looks like it doesn't want to go straight. ;-) I'm sure not a track guy, so GT performance is more what I need and since the Conti's are on backorder from Tire Rack, it seems these tires will do fine. thx...david
I used them on my Cayenne and absolutely loved them, in fact, I bought it from the owner of a tire distributorship they were his tire of choice for it. I would have no reservations about using them on a 550 at all. They're kinda like a best kept secret, IMO.
