Laco is a genre favorite for Pilot watches. They make top rate stuff and are sought after.

    Best,

    Hey Chris,

The Marine Diver watches on pg. 66 look great, especially with the true ETA movement. What's the scoop on International Watchman and the Marine Divers, did Panerai shut them down on this series or are they still making this model?
    Thanks........D

    www.Laco.de :)
I'd pull the trigger on this one, it's a steal at this price.
    Surprised we still have it

As far as I know, they are still selling these without the Panerai issue

I saw an ad in Forbes today for Ball watches. 2 of the 4 named stores in the ad were VTC and Grenon's. What are the odds of that?

That ball sounds like a great watch, but it sounds REALLY thick. Is it that bad in person?

Panerai stopped RWX from making the Marine Militiare. IWI still seels their Marine Diver (Great piece, great price).

I'll be in Vegas in 1.5 days, where I can see any watch I want (I'm not going to buy, but more to see all the watches I want all in once place). But if I like the Ball (assuming someone in Caesars, Wynn or Bellagio sells it, I'll check it out and save the shipping costs). I'd rather buy a watch from you or Ray than anyone else. You guys are awesome.

Is that Ball titanium, or is it stainless?

The Mad Cow is Ti and SS.

    It's a pretty awesome piece.
    Have fun in Vegas :)

According to the Ball site, the only Ball Dealer is in Primm, NV

    Great bang for the buck!

Here is some info on the brand.

If you have any questions, call Duane or myself.

We are always there to answer questions :)

    --------------
LACO was founded in 1925 by Frieda Lacher and Ludwig Hummel. By 1936, Frieda's son, Erich, took over the family business and began trading as Erich Lacher Uhrenfabrik, though the "LACO" logo was still maintained on its timepieces. It was during the period 1936-1945 that LACO would gain its prominence and revered reputation for producing some of the finest clocks and watches to ever come out of Germany. Perhaps the most historically famous of the watches produced by LACO was the large Beobachter Uhr (observer watch) used by the German Luftwaffe (Air Force) before and during the Second World War. Today, these watches are highly collectible both for their history as well as their fine movements and precision timekeeping abilities. LACO continued to craft beautiful, highly accurate watches after the war was over, with all of these commanding many times their original purchase price in the collector market now. Marking the company's 75th anniversary in 2000, LACO began re-releasing many vintage styles they had made decades before. Presently, LACO's vintage selections comprise over a third of their total business, with more styles in development.

I saw a black faced one of these with a bracelet, it's like a town square sized clock held on your wrist by a tank tread! :D

And I had to look it up, that high-low dial is a surf tide indicator

The MURF is really cool as well.

The crown on the front un screws, then you push it in and it advances the time.

    Really neat feature.

$350 for the PVD model pictured
