I'm slowly getting through scanning a pile of images from the W.H. Lowe days. These images I've collected over the years, mainly through the generous donations of people who were around in the day. Some like the newspaper advertisements I've found on the 'net.

I am trying to identify some Ferraris and am hoping some of you can identify them. Please let me know if you know the identity of these vehicles.

Also, if you have any images either digital or hard copy you can share with me from W.H. Lowe, I'd be much obliged. This includes not just Ferrari, but Lancia and MV Agusta as well.

First cab off the rank is this, a 330 GT 2 + 2 photographed circa 1976 out the back of W.H. Lowe. Any ideas?

Yes, Tony K has put a lot of effort into it.

However I'm thinking this car is 5819, an original red over beige car. That's an early NSW registration.

And how it appears today. Can't find a pic of the front of it, but it's a lovely job, now back to its correct 4 headlight configuration. TK mentioned the interior was not restored. It looks great.

In that case I would put money on it being 5991.

Mystery solved, I'll send my invoice Sweetcheeks.

Hmmm, I don't think it is now I've dug deeper, whilst the images I posted were from 1976, by that stage, 5991 was on plates VIC: IKT 575 having recently arrived from the UK.

    The mystery continues....

Here's another I can't identify, a 308 GTB photographed in the W.H. Lowe carpark in 1978. Originally I thought it was #29243 however that car is steel although the colour combination is identical to this glass car below, any ideas? I must admit I find grigio particularly appealing on this GTB.

One thing I noticed, the gear lever appears not to be an early glass car short lever, but rather an extended one, I wonder if this will assist in identifying the car?

Here's one we should all know, and a pic of Greg's new car, 3281 GT, Geelong sprints circa 1980. One of two 250 SWB sold by W.H. Lowe, the other being 3551GT.

Carl are you sure 3551GT was sold by W,H Lowe? or did they sell it as new stock (being the importer ) to the Smokers?

I have it as being sold new to the Smoker family by W.H. Lowe. That could be wrong however, as the information I was provided is anecdotal. One could ask them I suppose.

Here's the W.H. Lowe stand from the 1965 Melbourne Motor Show. On display is 06167 250 LM. This 250 LM was green, would have been lovely to see it in the flesh.

It was ordered new by David McKay however he cancelled the order when the car was on the ship. Sat around Melbourne for 6 months then was sold the U.K. Purchased by Paul Vestey, campaigned in the 1968 Targa Florio. Destroyed in that race.
