    ok ive asked around on some mercedes forums and no response... either way, does anyone know how many W208 CLK55 AMG's were built? in coupe form? and how many made it to america??

    Not many if I recall correctly, something like 1500 per year made it to the states. I could be off on that, I was researching them a few years ago when I was in the market for them.

    Fun car, I normally don't like Mercedes but I almost bought one, lots of lazy torque!

    We were curious about my C320C and the associated numbers and John got quite a bit of information from MBUSA regarding the coupes. Turns out (I was pretty sure it was going to be this way) that mine is the only one in the US in it's configuration and they gave him the breakdown of all C Coupes by tranmission and the color - Citron Green in the US. MBUSA was very helpful to us.

    although that doesnt give me total numbers, its a start

    CLK55 AMG Cabriolet: 521 cars

    MBCA Star had an article saying 2001 clk 55 worldwide production was over 2000 cars."

    so around 1500 of the worldwide 2001 production came to america?? are these cars really that rare?? they were only built 2001-2002 right? i'll try emailing MBUSA and what not
