Has anyone tried anything from the new Wacom Bamboo tablet line? I'm interested in picking one up but there aren't a ton of reviews on the new ones yet. I would like to go with the Bamboo Create mainly due to the larger surface area. Any advice/experience would be greatly appreciated!

Been using Wacoms since the mid nineties. I have not tried the new ones but I can say spend
the extra money for the larger tablet. I did try a Bamboo about a year and a half ago with a
small surface area. What a pain!

Yeah that was my fear. What are you using now? According to Amazon, the new tab is nearly 14"X8".

Stick with the Intuos line and get the largest tablet your budget allows.

If you have the cash I'd take the extra step and get the Cintiq.

I have an older 21UX and it is worth it's wait in gold. For us old school guys it replicates the traditional feel of drawing yet has the speed of digital, The tablets are incredible but there is a disconnect that comes from looking at a different surface then your drawing hand is on. It takes some time to get used to.

Here's a quick shot of my Cintiq.

I took my trusty old drafting table from school and flush mounted the Cintiq right in the surface. I can rotate the screen using the small knob. I have the 30" ACD linked for proofing and palettes. The small Intuos on the side is linked to both monitors so I can easily throw things around between the two screens without having to put the pen down. I set the hot keys on the side with my favorite shortcuts. I have a wireless keyboard I can rest on the bottom but I rarely ever use it while sketching.

It's increased my productivity in ways I never thought possible.]

    Very cool.
I'm in the process of teaching myself PhotoShop,so i've been looking at both Wacom & Cintiq. Haven't decided yet. I asked my class today & they pretty much all said Wacom, but that may have been due to $$ considerations.

Cintiq is a Wacom also just like the Intuous. It just happens to be the top of the line and
quite a difference in price. If the Cintiq is in your budget, don't hesitate, go for it!

That is an absolutely gorgeous setup. I love how intuitive and clean it looks...I'm extremely inspired. I may have to build myself a drafting table....hmmm....
