Ordered last year in May a F8 Spider. Was told 14-16 months for delivery. Now it’s been 16 months and was told probably this time next year so basically 28 month wait. Are other people with similar timeline orders seeing that kinda wait from their dealerships? It appears they have only had 4 allocations in 6 months or at least I only moved up 4 spots.

It was just over 16 months for my spider. Your dealer can push you back if they give the allocations to other clients. Not cool, but it happens.

I waited just under 18 months, which was about what I was told.

28 months sounds very unreasonable. I was 20 months but the average is 18 - 20 months. I highly suspect your dealership is giving allocations to other clients. My concern would be your order being canceled since production for the F8 will be ending soon.

Interestingly I think we share a dealer. They told me in March I had 9 in front of me. Told me today I have 8 in front of me. Said between March and September they only got 3 or 4 allocations for F8 Spiders at which point I asked how come I didn't move up 3 or 4 spots and they said they must have made a mistake in March on the order. I suspect I'm being pushed back sadly despite buying used cars from them in the past. I can't imagine for all the people with deposits in June, July, August, September, or October not receiving a car. Its nearly half a year time frame of deposits.

There is much discussion on the "Order Status" thread about Ferrari not taking any more orders for any F8 model after like last October '21. The theory being if you did not have an accepted order with spec'd out car from Italy with deposit down by then, you could not get an allocation. I hope there are not situations where folks are led to believe they are in a que that in actuality doesn't exist. Good luck.

Given that the 296 is ramping up in the next couple of months, I would imagine that F8 production will end around July 2023 or sooner. Take 2-3 months for delivery and that's September 2023 as the dealer is quoting you.

However, as the 296 starts taking more line space you have to figure less F8's coming out. I've been saying for quite some time that the factory is not going to build every car that dealers have orders for, guess we will see.

Yeah we shall see. I had my deposit in in May 2021 with order spec'd and entered that month so it was 5 months before they even closed the books. May just not have been early enough. Seems like the allocations are either trickling in extremely slowly or maybe people getting pushed in front of me unfortunately and sadly. Not a first time buyer from them but a first time new buyer.

If you don’t yet have an allocation (status 10g) I doubt you are getting a car unfortunately. You might ask them about a 296 but my understanding is those orders banks are all filled as well. Sounds very much like this dealer was taking as many deposits as possible in thr hopes allocations would keep coming but I think q1 2023 will be the last f8s built and I doubt any dealer is going to get 8 spider allocations in the next 3-6 months. The good news is there are lots of nice used f8s out there and pricing are creeping down. I hope for your sake that I’m wrong but you should mentally prepare IMO.

you don’t go 10g until you have an allocation. Thing to check for is to see if you are in P status. That means pre production and that the factory has acknowledged the order. After P you go 00 then 10g and then finally 10r.

I don’t think P or oo for that matter (if that’s a real status I can’t confirm or refute) means anything guaranteed. I’m fairly certain that if you are not 10g whatever you or you dealer is requesting is just a request. You’re not guaranteed a car until you go 10g as that status means the factory has allocated a build under your name.

Same here, F8 Spider, ordered in late August 2021. Delivery - probably 2Q 2023 :(
