Well as they said on Seinfeld, you know how to take a reservation you do not know how to hold one.

I ordered my tubi’s from the dealer; they were to arrive on the 27th of Sept 2005.

They arrived on time and when the shop called and said they were here I assumed I could take the car in the Tubi’s at the same time.

I was quickly reminded that I am dealing with a Ferrari dealer.

Although the person at the dealer who orders the parts and books the appointments for installing the parts is the same person, they are 2 different tasks and as such it was up to me to book the appointment for the installation.

Silly me I guess the dealer had expected that I would tie the Tubi’s around my neck and as such did not think I needed to have them installed on the car once they arrived .
So now I wait another 7- 9 days before confirmation of the appointment.

Wow, so I am just blowing off steam and thought I would put my frustrations to paper.

Sounds like the dealer doesn't feel the urgency or heat of much competition. They may also be just too booked up. FoOC would have that in in a flash. In this case their service department is first rate. Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait it out.

Put them on yourself ...... takes at most a few hours. I'm assuming you have a 550 ..... Two bolts on the front inlet flange ... then loosen the two bolts on each side for the hangers ... the old mufflers just drop out ... the tubi's go right back in place ... fast, simple and easy. You'll also need to cap off the two vaccum lines that went to your original mufflers.

This isn't rocket science ...... If you decide to have someone else do this for you .... any muffler shop in town can install your tubi's as good as any Ferrari dealership (perhaps even a better job based on some of the things I've read on this forum) .... at a quarter the cost and time, and I'm sure they'd welcome your business even if you showed up without an appointment. I'll also bet they'll do this while you wait.

You'll get double the enjoyment from your new tubi's knowing you did the work yourself .... and knowing you didn't have to deal with the dealers dysfuntional behavior.
