I really hate waiting on things...Especially my new 360 Spider. :(

The car was loaded onto the truck Wednesday (May, 11th)
I was told that the driver was heading to California, then to Texas, & then to me in Georgia, NOT! Just spoke with the driver: Car was picked up, went to Cali, sitting around until Tueday, then the driver is heading back out, & should be here in about two weeks after looping around the U.S.
Moral of the story: Do not let the dealership arrange shipping, handle it yourself! I could have had the car here in 4 days had I known.

not at all....the feeling is mutual. i echo your sentiment.

the worst part now is to sit and think up all the possible scenarios of what might happen to your car over the next two wks...(how many times will the driver have move your car....how many times someone touches it)... :)

i find it helpful to have access to the drive's phone number and incessantly (politely...) stay on him. in the end, it will all be worth it once she arrives...

It isn't much better with Ferrari NA. My 430 was loaded on a truck in NJ on the 5th and will not get here San Diego until Tuesday the 17th.:(

Why don't you arrange for other more direct shipping? If you can't, make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb when it finally arrives. Hopefully they're not taking it on and off during the process. You're probably stuck now with the current arrangements.

The only good part of this is that the car is loaded up front, & on the top level.....Just can't believe that it is just sitting in Cali for 5 days, about to tour the country before heading my way.

And just think, I almost used FedEx transport for just a few hundred dollars more....I hate it when I ignore my first instincts. :(
I feel so bad, my poor car will have a claustrophobic complex by the time it gets here....Maybe the truck driver will take her out for a walk every few days. :p

We've had some people here who have reported bad experiences with FedEx transport and damaged vehicles. You may be happier in the long run with the transporter your dealer chose!

I offer point-to-point transport services. My biggest problem is that my services are high in demand and sometimes I can't get to your car for a couple of weeks, but at least it's transported in a single-car trailer and never leaves the trailer or is stacked with other cars. I also drive directly to my destination. Also, my prices are usually better than the big guys.

Let me know if I can help in the future.

Received my Ferrari from NY pretty much on time but my shop that took delivery said the driver gave the impression he might just take the cars he was hauling out for joy rides on a regular basis when he stopped for the night. Scarry. My car arrive flawless in every way, TG.

Eek, I'd have a hard time knowing I just bought a Ferrari and I have to wait two weeks to get it to me while it sits in a big rig being driven all across God's creation. It would rack my nerves to death! What if something happens to it inside that truck! What if the brakes go out and the rig crashes, killing your 360 Spider!

    Oh the horror!!!

Just relax, you'll have your Ferrari in no time. ;)

My brother totalled his mni cooper s about 3 months ago and last week he received an email stating that his new one had arrived at the dock in South Carolina. The very next day the dealer called and was sorry to inform him that his car was "irepairably (sp?) damaged on the dock" Now Mini is building him yet another one.

For anyone transporting an exotic, definitely use Intercity. I called them on a Tuesday, they picked it up on Friday and had it here the following Thursday. I had the drivers cell # and was in constant contact with him, he called me every other day. Great company to deal with.

    Well,
Seventeen days later, my new 360 spider has arrived. :)
After helping the driver wire-in his electrics for the PTO & pushing cars off the trailer...My shiny red spider was removed.
I was apprehensive about trading my 355 (what a sweet car & it was running really well) But, first drive in the 360 was: WOW!!! The power hits like a sledgehammer compared to the 355. Hard to imagine the 430 being a good bit quicker than a 360. The power band hit on the 360 reminds me of an Esprit twin turbo.
The Capristo exhaust sounds great, but I must say that the Tubi/Hyper-Flow combo on my 355 is still a cooler tone.
