Who is going? We will be up on the hill in the vendor area like last year, I just hope DRYER!
I am definitely planning on going to the Mitty. I hope to see you guys there. Ar we going to try and meet in any certain area? Terry
For the ALMS race, we set up a "mini-corral" for awhile on the roadway between the bridge and the vendor village and got more sightseers than the adjacent "official" Porsche and Corvette corrals. If an area around there is available it would be ideal. It is a short walk to turn 10A and to the new paddock from there. The alternative would be somewhere in the skidpad area near turn 7.
So can we get a program going as to who is going and when? Lets start by having people e-mail or pm me as to whether they can go Sat or Sun or either day, and about what time they want to go. Then I will compile the list, come up with a starting time and convenient location for us all to meet and then we can cruise up there as a group. What say all? Brian
Brian.. I can go either or both days. One day I'll be with the Fiat guys in my Scorp, the other in my 355. I DO want to catch up with you on the "chains" discussion. Whatever y'all decide time and place wise is well with me. JD
As of now the weather forecast for Saturday is not good, with thunderstorms likely through mid-day at least. Sunday is looking good. As a result, I will be going on Sunday only.
I will only be there Sunday since Saturday looks like a rainy day, so the TR will be there Sunday. I will meet anyone willing to caravan up there, Stephane Scaledetails
The first race on Sunday is at 8:30, so I'll probably leave Marietta about 7:15. I'll watch the start of that race from outside turn 12, and then move up the hill to park near turn 10A (maybe near the same place as last time, Stephane?). Hopefully we can set up a bigger Ferrari corral than at the ALMS race.
I just got back from there, I did the track touring deal, very fun. Looks like there is no corral for the Ferrari club according to the program, what's going on?????? How can there be 2 Mazda Miata clubs and no Ferraris? Stephane Scaledetails
You also like to live dangerously! If I am ever in your shoes, I would hope that I have the same mentality as well.
Wife is having tests for breast cancer. So will not make it. She goes in Friday of the show.[/QUOTE] I hope for the best for her.
I can only go Sunday-- Too much work this weekend! Here is my plan: I will be at the Starbucks Coffee shop across from the Mall of Georgia at about 9:00 AM on Sunday morning. Anyone who wants to meet up with me there and then drive up to Road Atlanta is welcome to join me. Mall of Georgia--I85 and I 985 Interchange. Starbucks is on South side of Route 20, across from the Mall of Georgia in a small strip mall. My cell is 678-697-8142, if you get lost. Brian Willis
I'll already be there at 9:00. I hope to park somewhere near turn 10A, hopefully with other F-cars: look for me/us.
