I'd like to get an interesting italian car that was built or first registered on my birthday, or my wifes.

    21 April 1970 or 12 May 1973.

I'm thinking Alfa GT Junior, but open to suggestions.

    I'm in Melbourne Australia

No more than AUD $20k, or US $15k, or GBP 8k.

I can fix anything, but I'd prefer to get a drivable car thats not going to need restoring in the next 3 years.

Also, where can I look to find people that can help me with this.

Phil, what are 365 GT2+2's going for in Aus?

Other than that I'd say Alfa or Lancia or Mini Cooper S (the real one not the overstuffed BMW clitoris)

And if you don't mind shipping from the UK I can HPI to find first reg date (e-mail sellers and ask first though ;) )

1970 would get you a pretty nice alfa GTV 1750 and '73 would get you a 2000 both nice cars, and cars that I'm on the prowl for right now.

Of course you could go upscale and find a nice Chevy Vega or Ford Pinto.

How about a Datsun 240Z, didn't they come out in 1969?

1970 911 should fit in your price range, or a 912 if you want to be able to sub volkswagen parts, 914 if you're a masochist.

    BMW 2002??

Most if not all available in RHD, right?

How about a couple of pix.

ITALIAN. Wouldn't have a German car as a gift, and as for anything American.... pleeeeeeease!!!!!!!.

    Don't want a 365 GT/4 etc. I spend enough time fixing cars.

Daytona... for sub AUD20K..... show me!

Tell me more about Fulvias.... what are good and bad models/years/specs.

Want something nippy, not fast but fun (Multi carbs).
