Metal has certainly corroded more than one would expect.

Is this the same for both the 360/430? Does your coolant look bad? Wondering how it can look like that after 55k miles, but I guess our cars are getting old.

The shards of metal are not from the heat exchanger. They appear to be left over from some machining operation that Ferrari performed when the car was new and just happened to be caught by the exchanger. Did you check the shards with a magnet to see if they are steel or aluminum?

I’m thinking of making a stainless steel version to put on my car. Anyone interested in one?

Nope, coolant is beautiful. I don't think there was any heat exchanger "failure" as of yet, but just looking at the state of the part I took out, it might not have been far off.

That makes sense...they looked like aluminum but I didn't test them with a magnet prior to throwing them away. Kinda scary that their may be more floating around in there but I have seen any besides these.

Not any more:confused: $600 ago I might have been
