Yes they lost the molds; good news is we will have new ones avail very soon. I suggest anyone interested to give me a call, there will be a limited number of them built & there will probably not be another production run until we have enough people again. I do not have a price as of yet, but the cost should not be more than the ones that Frank Capo made. I also have the DCNF idividual throttle fuel injection set ups avail.

I too am interested in the weber conversion for my 328. If there continues to be a problem obtaining manifolds, I may be able to help. If I could get my hands on one for a few days, i could model it with my 3D cad software and proceed to get quotes for molds. (I could also design one from scratch if someone could get me some dimensions to work with.) If the price looks good, I will have them cast and machined. I'm a mechanical engineer specializing in machine design and i have several good machine shop sources locally.

Well an update, maufolds are being cast at the moment.carbs came from bill at GT, weber carb links are not easy to find, the rest of the parts air cleaner cables, fuel fittings from maranello UK, hope to have it back on the road end of Oct. in aus there is a bit of interest converting 4 valve cars to webers, so have sold seven sets of maufolds.

Reading this thread I would suggest the way to go is Taper throttle bodies :)

    Still need manifolds though :)

Reliability? Carbs? Personality, yes, but reliability? ;)

A modern EFI system could achieve most of the same things (except for a different sound, and needing a laptop for DIY maintenance). (Okay, the personality of an EFI might be that of an accountant ... But remember the curse: "may you live in interesting times"? Carbs are "interesting". :p)

But in either case, you need reworked cams to get maximum benefit out of the mods.

The biggest gain is getting that barn door (AFM plate) out of the air intake.

But, granted, carbs are more of a plug-n-play conversion than working up an EFI map. (Unless you're already a computer nerd. :D)

    :) :)

Yeppers, that's my experience of Webers vs K-jet.

On the dyno with stock cams - 30 hp increase plug and play carbs only

And when something goes out of kilter, Weber induction can be diagnosed and fixed with a screwdriver, 8mm wrench, a rubber hose and a funnel.

    My motto:
Youth and enthusiasm are always overcome by old age and treachery.

I think center pull is a bit better also, but we could not find a place for a bell crank.
We were able to easily modify the existing cable without going through a heinous re-install of a 308 cable.

    Good luck!

Just heard from mark/w/328 that his manifolds are in and his 328 is now running with Webers in Oz - pictures later. Terrific work, and I think you will find the transformation amazing, especially the low end.

In addition, he also relayed he has seven sets of 3.0QV/3,2 liter manifolds available, which can be used with Webers or the TWM throttle bodies, so now's the time 308 QV, 328 and Mondial guys!

Great work and looking forward to the results!

    Hello everybody
I have a set of 40 DCNF-12 carbs (4). They have been sitting forever but are in good shape overall. They need to have rebuild kits installed. I want 1100. for all four. A customer of mine has a used set of manifolds. I can get you in touch with him if interested. Let me know.

    mark/w/328,
Do you still have at least 1 set of the Weber manifolds for 4V engines?

I got a query from someone looking for them.

And a pretty good price to boot. Certainly cheaper than the Capo DCNF manifolds I used.
Of course, the rub is that they are IDFs. One cannot use the 308 DCNF induction parts, and I think the bonnet lid will need to be modified. Pros and cons like any conversion.
    Still, I'd do it (again).

Somewhat intrigued by this idea, I followed the link and found this price today:

    1.309,00 €

Wondering how much that is in dollars, and what the worldwide demand for these conversion manifolds is.

    Thanks,

    GF
